your Generator Maintenance Plan.

It's a yearly Preventative Maintenance Plan, including 2 visits, a full check and tune up of all necessary components.

GENERATORS

If you have a generator and haven't used it yet during last year, start it up to make sure it's working and use the transfer switch that enables the generator to take over the circuits it would manage during a real emergency.

Equipment not properly serviced tends to be less efficient and works harder.

Our Preventative Maintenance Checklist consists of:

Natural / Propane Gas Engine

  1. Replace all spark plugs annually.
  2. Change engine lubrication oil and oil filter annually.
  3. Replace air filter.
  4. For liquid cooled system: check antifreeze levels and condition. Clean radiator of any debris.
  5. Check, clean, and lube all linkages.
  6. Check battery charging system, alternator, starter, and governor.
  7. Check entire unit for fuel and oil leakage.
  8. Service battery(s); add water, clean posts, replace corrosion inhibiting pads if necessary
  9. Remove all carbon and dust deposits from generator.
  10. Conduct safety shutdown check and run generator. (Check voltage, frequency, instruments and adjust carburetor and governor)
  11. Test generator under available load from home by performing an Automatic Transfer Switch test (access to switch gear required)
  12. Check Automatic switch gear, connections and components
  13. Submit technician report to owner and advise on additional parts/labor required.
